Why we started
Monster Web Design started the way a lot of good things do — out of necessity. After being made redundant, with a family to support and another on the way, I decided to stop waiting for the right job to come along and build something of my own instead.
I kept noticing the same thing everywhere I looked: cracking local tradespeople — plumbers, sparkies, roofers, mechanics — doing brilliant work, but completely invisible online. No website. Impossible to find on Google. Losing jobs every week to competitors who weren't necessarily better, just easier to find.
That didn't sit right with me. Good websites had become this expensive, complicated thing that big agencies charged thousands for — way out of reach for a sole trader just trying to get on. So I set out to fix that.
What we believe
A professional website shouldn't cost the earth, shouldn't take months, and shouldn't need you to understand a word of tech. It should just work — getting you found, making you look the part, and bringing in the calls.
So that's exactly what we built: a flat £49.99 a month, everything included, no big upfront cost, no contract trapping you in. We build it, host it, manage it and update it. You just take the calls and do what you're brilliant at.
